Hi Everyone
We’ve had a fantastic month at the academy which included an exciting interclub featuring GB Harrogate, GB Apperley Bridge and GB Roundhay Leeds. We had a great day and we hope that everyone who had a match took something away from the day, and that spectators enjoyed their experience too! We’ve got a great month coming up in March, which started with the Empire Grappling Northern Open taking place last weekend, and gradings and seminars on the horizon across both of our academies, too!
Competitons: IBJJF European Masters & Empire Grappling Northern Open
A huge well done to Chris, Rick and Zach who competed at the Empire Grappling Northern Open last weekend! We hope you enjoyed the experience and took some positive learnings to apply to your game and next competition!

Upcoming Seminar: Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge 1 Year Anniversary
It’s almost a year since we opened the doors at Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge! It’s been a fantastic 12 months where we’ve seen our community grow. Our programmes are filling up and the sense of community at Albion Mills is brilliant. To celebrate, we’ll be hosting a seminar with Adisa Banjoko on the 4th of April. We’ll be kicking off the kids seminar at 6pm, before the adults seminar starts at 6.30pm.

Easter Grading and Social - Thursday 17th of April
We’re really excited to be hosting our first grading of the year on the 17th of April. We’ll be kicking things off at 6.30pm for a normal class and grading, before heading to Roosters for 8pm to celebrate. Save the date and join us to celebrate the progress and achievements of your training partners at GB Harrogate! Please note our Easter opening times below - and keep an eye out for open mat times to be announced closer to the time.

Gracie Barra Harrogate x Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge: Social Accounts & Websites Combining
We’re really excited to be combining our social media accounts across both of our schools - Gracie Barra Harrogate and Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge. This will mean we’re able to deliver more content covering both of our wonderful academies. Expect to see content of our facilities, testimonials from our members and loads more! We’re really passionate about working together across both schools. All of our members can train at either academy as part of their membership, and our combined socials and website will reflect our approach: 2 academies, 1 team.

We had a brilliant day at the adults interclub in February! A big thank you to everyone who attended and we hope everyone took something away from the experience. We were massively impressed by the effort and passion everyone showed in their matches, and the atmosphere was a very supportive and enjoyable one - thank you to everyone who made the day happen, including the coaching team and referees!
